We empower women to take charge of their pregnancy,

birth unhindered, and parent in a healthy, intuitive way. We offer open-minded, evidence-based perinatal care and home birth midwifery that centers on the mother and supports autonomous decision-making. It’s our goal for every family to have access to a midwife who makes them feel safe, supported, and understood. We hope to be a community-wide resource for childbirth and other complementary areas of alternative healthcare.

Our Values

  • Safe Environment

  • Evidenced-Based

  • Holistic Care

  • Team Approach

  • Informed Consent

  • Intersectional Equity

  • Sustainability

Our practice relies on the most current research and clinical expertise to best serve every client and baby in our care. Evidence-based practice is not one-size-fits-all. It allows you to examine the research surrounding each decision as you identify your individual needs and preferences. We support you through this process by providing resources, data, and experiential knowledge.

Our Team

In 2016, she completed training as a Certified Professional Midwife and received her State of Michigan license when it became available in August, 2019. During her career, Jennifer has attended more than 500 births. She and her husband Rich have three teenage daughters; Lily, Rosie, and Daisy. They love to hike, work in the garden, and enjoy spending Michigan summers out on the boat.

Anna began attending births with WMM in 2019 and became a valuable part of our team. She attended GoMidwife, midwifery school and did all of her clinical work with WMM. Anna enjoys exploring outdoors with her husband and FOUR children, three of whom were born at home, all three with midwives. Anna and her family just welcomed their fourth child in February of 2025 and she is taking whatever amount of maternity leave needed. When she is ready we'll be so glad to have her back!

Emily is passionate about bodily autonomy, empowerment through information, and the sacredness of birth. Emily believes that empowered birth sets the stage for empowered parenting.

  • Mindy Bauder

    Student Midwife

Mindy’s passion for physiological birth began with her first baby’s home birth in 2009. In 2012, she began doula work as her family continued to grow. She now has 7 children, all of whom were born at home with the care of midwives. Mindy is a certified Body Ready Method Pro and with this knowledge helps bring balance to the body to create space for the developing baby while alleviating common pregnancy discomforts. She is currently training in a direct midwifery apprenticeship with West Michigan Midwifery while also supporting other licensed midwives as a birth assistant. Mindy carries a deep reverence for birth and believes everyone should be supported physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually through their journey. When not attending a birth or studying, she enjoys time with her husband and kids, homeschooling, homesteading, and baking sourdough bread.
